Idle mode
Idle mode lets a character quietly gather money and a few items, without playing. The character leaves the world meanwhile: it is not a fight, just gathering.
Going in and out
- Menu > Idle mode, then "Resume playing" to come back.
- As when changing character: you must be out of combat and stay still during the leaving delay. During that delay, the character is still in the world and can be attacked: idle is never an emergency exit.
- When you come out, you are back where you left.
- The game must stay open. On a phone, if the app goes to the background or the screen turns off, gathering stops. The screen stays on during idle, with a very dark display to save battery; a tap brings back the normal display.
- Only one character at a time per account: entering the world on another device stops idle.
Gains
| What | How much |
|---|---|
| Money | 1 coin × level, every minute (level 12: 12 coins per minute) |
| Items | 4.5% chance every minute, about 3 per hour |
| Item rarities | Poor 65%, Common 30%, Rare 5% |
| Experience | none directly, but rested XP: the equivalent of 12 monsters of your level per hour, up to 1.5 levels |
- Items found in idle are never above the character's level, and are account-bound: they can't be traded.
- They go into the chest of absence, never into the bag: a full bag makes you lose nothing. The chest holds 100 items; when full, idle only brings money and rested XP.
- Rested XP: when you play afterwards, each monster killed gives its XP a second time, while the pool lasts (in blue on the XP bar). You only level up by playing, but each return starts strong.
- During idle, you see how many items were found, but not which.
- You can't die in idle, and you cast no spells there.
- Playing actively brings much more: idle is a supplement.
Loot from your absence
When you come back to the game, if there are items (even after a disconnection, a closed page or on another device), a window shows them face down, one card per item, the best last. A click turns a card over (or "Reveal", or "Reveal all"): its name, its rarity, and a sparkle for rare items. Then "Sort the chest": for each item, Take (into the bag), Sell (at the merchant's price) or Drop, from wherever you are. What you don't sort stays in the chest: the "Chest of absence" button of the character window opens it again.
